The 2026 Chevy Traverse is a stylish SUV with best-in-class cargo space and comfortable seating for up to eight people. It also includes an exciting range of standard and available technologies for easier and safer driving. Let’s take a look at some of these exciting features.
Plentiful Cabin Tech
The Traverse features a 17.7″ diagonal advanced color LCD touchscreen with Google Built-in, giving you access to Google Maps, Google Play, and Google Assistant. OnStar powers the system, and you receive eight years of complimentary access to OnStar Basics, which provides real-time navigation and traffic information, built-in voice assistance, and remote commands.
An 11″ diagonal color Driver Information Center enables you to keep track of essential information, including your speed and fuel status, and is customizable to your needs. Every new Traverse includes a trial subscription to SiriusXM with 360L and its vast amount of news, entertainment, and educational content. A wireless phone charger is standard, together with two USB ports in the front and two for the rear passengers.
Super Cruise
Super Cruise is standard or available, depending on your trim level, and allows for hands-free driving on over 585,000 miles of roads in the US and Canada. This system uses advanced LiDAR, GPS, cameras, and sensors to guide your vehicle on compatible roads. To activate it, Active Cruise Control (ACC) needs to be on, as this feature allows you to maintain a set speed and following distance from any vehicle ahead of you.
Once ACC is active, and you’re on a Super Cruise-compatible road, a white icon will appear on the right side of your Driver Information Center. Press the Super Cruise button on your steering wheel, and the system will take over and drive you. It slows down or accelerates as needed and can automatically change lanes when it’s safe to do so if you’ve activated the turn indicator.
Chevy Safety Assist
Chevy Safety Assist is a suite of six advanced driver assistance and safety systems designed to protect you and your passengers, and it’s standard on every new Traverse. It uses cutting-edge technology, like radar, cameras, and sensors, to identify potentially dangerous situations. These systems provide visual and audible warnings, and some systems will actively help prevent accidents by applying emergency braking.
Lane Keep Assist is part of this suite, and it works to keep you safely in your lane. If it detects that you’re about to leave your lane and you aren’t actively steering, it alerts you, and the steering wheel gently turns to direct you back into your lane.
